Then of course Old Red spit up on me yesterday. Water pump locked up. Threw the serpentine belt too....somewhere...it's just gone. I heard it starting to make noise and prayed I could make it home. Nyet. Another $50 tow bill. Left all kinds of little metal shavings in the engine compartment. Thank God it looks like a breeze to replace. With my health issues, those jobs are getting difficult for me. I should have her going again Tuesday. I was also shocked....figured 130 to 160 clams for parts. Pleasant surprise.....just over 60. A Buick 3800 water pump turns out to be stone cheap.
